Cross Cultural Solutions Volunteer Work Opportunity in Rabat
Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:31AM CCS volunteers in Morocco work side-by-side with local people, contributing directly to community-based projects. More than ever, the opportunity to exchange cultures and perspectives is the most important part of our volunteers' work. Most of the organizationswhere CCS volunteers workfocus on supporting and empowering women and children by providing education, employment, and social assistance, such as:
- Caregiving at Orphanages and Centers for Physically Challenged Children: Volunteers help the nurses and teachers to provide physical and emotional care and support, and offer much-needed love and attention, to children of various ages.
- Community-based organizations and pre-schools: Volunteers serve as role models for children, provide educational or recreational activities and teach basic English.
- Teaching Adults: Volunteers teach English to adults and engage in cultural exchange. For volunteers who speak French, there are opportunities to teach computer lessons and other professional skills.
Volunteer Work Placements in Rabat
All placements are within the broad categories of caregiving, teaching, or community development. Placements are always designed to match the skills and interests of our participants to the needsidentified by the community.
Volunteers may choose between the Volunteer Abroad,Intern Abroad andInsight Abroad (one week) programs in Rabat, Morocco. CCS volunteer placements are available year-roundensuring continuous support to our Partner Programs.
